mod_rsync status
« on: September 09, 2013, 01:37:20 am »
Hi,

Is mod_rsync in your opinion fine to use in a production environment?

Basically I'm wondering as the comments on https://github.com/Castaglia/proftpd-mod_rsync from 2 years ago state "Far from complete.", is it still being worked on?

Thanks.

No, the mod_rsync code from GitHub is far from production ready.  It's something I started implementing a while ago, but haven't put much time into it of late -- I've been working on other things.  Is there something specific you'd like/want to use an mod_rsync module for?

Basically the functionality to be able to rsync data to an account I've got set up with mod_sql, so the accounts are all in the database with quotas specified with mod_quotatab etc and I'd want to be able to rsync data to the home directory of the account and have it count in the users quota.
